World T'ai Chi and Qigong Day

Yesterday was World T'ai Chi and Qigong Day. As I'm taking T'ai Chi Ch'uan as a PE elective this term, I figured it would be a quick and interesting way to earn some extra credit and learn some cool stuff on a Saturday morning. Indeed, it was!

There was a simultaneous demonstration of multiple T'ai Chi forms, followed by a number of more complex demonstrations. Afterwards, a number of teachers stuck around to work one-on-one with folks and trade skills with other teachers. I could see adding T'ai Chi Ch'uan to my list of hobbies, for sure.

I ended up writing a four-page paper, mostly for fun. I also grabbed a video clip from our local 24-hour news channel, RNews, for the archives, since one of my classmates ended up on camera deploying the single whip. (Video requires Xvid codec, as I'm cheap.)
